We are heading into the summer months and NYC street fairs are starting to heat up. There will be a number of festivities in the city that will be offering live entertainment, street food from different countries with shops that will carry unique goods. June is also Pride month in New York City so mark your calendar so that you know whats going on and when.
New York City Street Festivals in May
The NYC street fair season is officially underway as the warmer temperatures hit the city. Here’s your chance to sample delicious street food, shop for bargains, get chair massages and take in live entertainment. Just like the great city of New York, there is something for everyone at the street fair.
NYC Green Markets
Farmers markets and greenmarkets are open for business all year round in some New York City locations. Food products such as, Fresh produce, dairy, meat, poultry, syrups, baked goods and plants are among the offerings that are brought in from local New York farms.
New York City Street Festivals in April
There are a number of New York City Street Fairs and festivals in April. Mark your calendar so that you know whats going on and when. Take in the city’s diverse offerings that are free and filled with a ton of things to do for everyone. Many NYC flea markets also open in April that include, Brooklyn Flea, Dekalb Market, Green Flea, Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market, and Union Square Green Market.
The Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg Return!
We’ve waited all winter for spring to return so that we could welcome back Smorgasburg and the Brooklyn Flea to Williamsburg. Smorgasburg which happen’s every Saturday, rain or shine, will open on April 7th. The hours of operation this year are 11am – 6pm. The Brooklyn flea will open on April 8. This year’s Smorgasburg will be a healthy feast of delicious Flea classics and talented newcomers. Some of the new vendor’s include,
Columbus Circle Holiday Market 2011
The Columbus Circle Holiday Market is steps away from some of the cities most popular attractions and has a reputation for being one of the most elegant and beautiful holiday markets in the city. Central Park is the backdrop of the Market that features over 100 vendors that offer everything from, handmade jewelry to glass housewares, bags, accessories, gloves, hats and holiday items that come all the way from Europe.
Union Square Holiday Market
The 18th annual Union Square Holiday Market will open from, November 18 – December 24. There will be over 100 merchants that will be set up and selling their various artisan wares. A great place to start your holiday shopping if you are looking from something that is handmade, local and unique.
New York Street fairs in November
As we head into the holiday months, there are many street festivals and fairs in New York City to explore. The street fair and festival schedule for the month of November includes, numerous block parties along with holiday and winter fairs. From Brooklyn to Manhattan, the weekends and weekdays will be filled with many different events.
International Vintage Poster Fair in NYC
The International Vintage Poster Fair, features pop art and posters from the 19th century onwards. The show is the only one in the world that is solely devoted to original vintage posters.
