Apollo Spring Gala 2012 honoring Lionel Richie
The Apollo Theater’s Spring Gala will be a gathering of some of the best and brightest in business and the entertainment industry. On this star studded night, Lionel Richie and the late Etta James will be inducted into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame, joining past inductees Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Patti LaBelle, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson among others. The Apollo Spring Gala which is in its seventh year, will be held on on June 4, 2012.
Entertainers that include, Chaka Khan, Eddie Levert, Sinbad, Mary Mary, Danny Glover, Valerie Simpson are expected guests at this year’s Apollo Theater’s Spring Gala.
Proceeds from The Gala Benefit Concert and Awards Ceremony will raise funds in support of the non-profit theater’s remarkable legacy, its current initiatives for emerging artists, and community and educational programs that serve students and families in New York City and beyond.
