Oktoberfest in NYC

This is the official last weekend of Oktoberfest in Munich Germany but in New York City, it’s still on. There are still some great party’s in celebration of this fine German tradition to be had by all. More bier, brats and entertainment from the German community and beyond. Put on your lederhosen and dirndl and head out to any of the places below for a great time!


Lexington Avenue Oktoberfest
The annual Oktoberfest will take place on Lexington Ave between 42nd – 57th Street. You can expect authentic German food along with, ethnic arts, crafts, antiques and live entertainment.

Oktoberfest at Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden
The Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden Oktoberfest will take place from October 1-9. One of the oldest beer gardens outside of New York City, this Czech establishment has a wide variety of German and Czech beers. Kielbasa, Sauerkraut, Beef Goulash, Potato Pierogie and Schnitzel is on the menu.

Zum Schneider Restaurant & Biergarten Oktoberfest
Zum Schneider will be holding their annual Oktoberfest celebration until October 9th. They will have live shows with Mösl Franzi and the JaJaJa’s. They will have  many Oktoberfest Beers on tap that include, (Schneider Wies’n Edelweiss, Hofbräu original Wies’n Bier, Paulaner original Wies”n Bier, Spaten Märzen, Ayinger Märzen), and Original Oktoberfest Dishes, including Wies’n Hendl (Roasted half of a free-range chicken w/ potato & cucumber salads), Riesen Wies’n Brez’n (Authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest pretzel) and more.

The Garden @ Studio Square NYC
Oktoberfest 2011 in The Garden @ Studio Square NYC will feature traditional Oktoberfest beer (Spaten Oktoberfest, Hofbräu Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Paulaner Oktoberfest, Radeberger Altenmünster, Sam Adams Octoberfest) and traditional Oktoberfest fare (Hachen-Schnitzel, Wursts, Bauernwurst, Knackwurst). Admission is $65.

Oktoberfest New York

The Tunnel/La Venue will host Das Best Oktoberfest in New York. The 16,500 square feet venue space will transform into a huge bier drinking halle with over 200 beers, wines and schnapps to choose from. Tickets are $65 if you purchase in advance and $80 at the door..

Oktoberfest 2011 at Bierhaus NYC
The Celebration will continue through the entire month of October at Bierhaus. They will have entrainment along with 24 taps and six varieties of Hofbräu beer.
