Punk Island 2012
Make Music New York and ABC No Rio has collaborated on putting together the annual NYC event, Punk Island. This all-ages, day long punk fest is free for all and takes place June 24 on Governors Island. Punk Island will feature 6 stages of music from 50 DIY punk bands that come from all over the country, roving brass bands playing music all over the island, and an outdoor visual art exhibition showcasing the work of punk artists.
Electric Daisy Carnival in New York
The Electric Daisy Carnival has made it’s way to New York for the first time since the start of the music festival back in 1997. This Insomniac event was previously held in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Dallas, Puerto Rico and now, it’s New York’s turn to host this three day Electronic Dance Music Festival.
