The talented Alicia Keys steps into the light as a producer of a new American play by Lydia R. Diamond titled, “Stick Fly”. Stick Fly is about a young women who goes home to meet her husbands family for the first time on Martha’s Vineyard, and they are black.
It’s a story of families and not just about race. Key’s describes the play as “the human experience so it doesn’t matter how you look, where you’re from, where you grew up, life is hilarious, life is serious, life is outrageous and that’s what this play is.”
Stick Fly is directed by Kenny Leon and stars, Dule Hill, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Rosie Benton, and Condola Rashad.
