Oktoberfest is just around the corner and you don’t have to be in Deutschland to celebrate it. There are plenty of events, lederhosen and beer in New York City. World Yacht will be holding New York’s Second Annual Oktoberfest on the Hudson on Saturday September 24th.
They will be offering a one-hour cruise on the Hudson River and will be stocked up on German Pils, Hefe-Weizen, Oktoberfest Marzen and Wiesn Bier from Paulaner. If you don’t want to go on the boat, head straight to the beer garden, grab a stein and Bratwurst and get ready to party with live music from The Polka Brothers and German-American dancers the Schlierachtler Stamm.
There is an optional 1 hour cruise for an additional fee. The party will cruise up the Hudson River with views of George Washington Bridge, Riverside Park and Riverside Church.
Admission is $15-$20 per person but if you sign up at Gold Star, you can get on the cruise for $5-$10.
