Make Music New York and ABC No Rio has collaborated on putting together the annual NYC event, Punk Island. This all-ages, day long punk fest is free for all and takes place June 24 on Governors Island. Punk Island will feature 6 stages of music from 50 DIY punk bands that come from all over the country, roving brass bands playing music all over the island, and an outdoor visual art exhibition showcasing the work of punk artists.
Like the show, travel to Governors Island is completely free. Ferries will run every half hour for the day from Lower Manhattan near Battery Park.
