Black Eyed Peas Central Park Concert on 9/30

If you were all set back on June 9th to see the Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, LL Cool J, Tony Bennett and Carole King, the rescheduled concert is now set for September 30.

The concert which was put together for the Robin Hood Roundation was postponed earlier in the year due to bad weather but, it is back on with the Black Eyed Peas as the only confirmed band in the line up.

In a press conference from the Central Park Arsenal, Mayor Bloomberg along with Will.i.am said, “I don’t know how to, where to, begin to tell you how proud I am to be performing here in Central Park for a rescheduled day.”

The event is important because it brings awareness about the extent of poverty in our city. Most New Yorkers would be shocked to realize that 1.8 million of their neighbors are living in poverty.

Those who won or bought tickets for the concert on June 9th should watch for an email with details about how to claim replacement tickets. A small number of VIP tickets will be sold through blackeyedpeas.robinhood.org.

There have been many concerts that have had the privilege to grace the historic Great Lawn in Central Park and together with the help from New York City, the Robin Hood foundation hope’s to continue its work to fight poverty. 100% of the profits will go to charity.
