The Tartan Day Parade will celebrate it’s 10th anniversary and will bring the spirit of Scottish heritage to New York City. The parade will take place on April 14th and will march up Sixth Avenue, from 45th to 55th Streets. The 2012 Grand Marshal of the Tartan Day Parade will be Award-Winning Scottish actor, Brian Cox.
There will be Pipe and Drum bands from the New York area and beyond that will include, West Point, New York Scottish Pipes and Drums, USNA (U.S. Navy) Pipes and Drums , Quaboag Highland Pipes and Drums, Hudson Highlanders Pipe Band and NYC Volunteer Firefighters Pipe Band
Grab your favorite kilt and head to the festivities that start at 2pm. It will be a ton of Scottish music and fun!
