Amateur night at the Apollo is fun, exciting and always packed full of entertainment. The brave contestants which consist of aspiring musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, rappers and spoken word artists, take the stage to perform and are either cheered or boo-ed depending on their performance. This is one of the few shows on stage that allows you to be the judge and the jury, right from the comfort of your seat.Your opinion matters and you are free to voice it, good or bad. It’s all in fun though and at the end of the season, a new Apollo Amateur is crowned and has the possibility of bringing home the grand prize of $10,000.
The show is hosted by the comedian Capone who is sure to make you fall of your seat laughing.
Every week brings a new night of contestants and there are still tickets for the following nights available so, get them while you can, September 21,28 and October 5,12,19,26. Ticket prices range from $19, $25, $29.
Amateur night at the Apollo is held at the Apollo Theater in New York City which is one of the most famous music halls in the country.
